Upper Rock Creek Master Plan

The Upper Rock Creek planning area is adjacent to the Olney planning area.

The Upper Rock Creek Master Plan revision process began in Spring 2000. See a timeline of the process.

The Planning Board submitted their Final Draft Master Plan to the County Council in July 2003.

The Council reviewed the draft, took public testimony on October 21, 2003, and analyzed the draft in the PHED subcommittee. On January 20, 2004, the full council took a straw vote on the PHED Committee recommendations.

The process of incorporating the Council's amendments into the Master Plan is called the "resolution."

The Council voted on the resolution on February 24, 2004. The Upper Rock Creek Coalition summarized the outcome, and also provided a synopsis of the final plan.
