Joining Olney Coalition

Association Members

Any association in Olney who shares the mission of Olney Coalition may become a member.  There are no dues - all contributions are voluntary.  There are no forms to fill out.  Once an association decides to join, contact Barbara Falcigno (301-476-4716).

Each association has two delegates - one is the primary delegate, the second is an alternate.  The process by which the delegates are appointed and their term of service is at the discretion of each individual association.  The association must provide the Coalition the name, address, phone, e-mail address, and term of service of each delegate.  The role of the delegates is to vote on Coalition positions on issues related to the purpose of the Coalition and to act as a liaison for their association.

The delegates are expected to stay informed on the issues of interest to the Coalition and to attend delegate meetings whenever practical.  Email is the primary method of sharing information.

Current Association Members

The Olney Coalition is composed of the residents of local associations who have voted to join us. The following groups have joined to date and represent almost 3,000 households:

Briars Acres
Cherrywood
Manor Oaks
Norbeck Grove
Norbeck Meadows
Oatland Farms
Olney Acres
Olney Oaks
Olney Square
South East Rural Olney Civic Association (SEROCA)

Individual Members

Any resident in Olney may join Olney Coalition (even if their association has not officially joined) by subscribing to the News Service.  This will provide updates on Olney Coalition's activities.  Residents who do not live in a neighborhood with a civic or homeowners association may become an at-large delegate.  If interested, contact Barbara Falcigno at 301-476-4716.
