Testifying in Public Meetings

Public Hearings are an opportunity for decision makers to hear from the community.  Even if you do not testify, your attendance speaks volumes.  You are allowed to applaud other speakers.

In the weeks after a hearing, the Council staff must address the concerns that are raised during the hearing.  These issues are discussed at the Committee level with a recommendation to the full Council prior a vote.  The Planning, Housing, and Economic Development (PHED) Committee is responsible for land use issues and has been discussing the Olney Master Plan.

The County Council provides information here.

The Park & Planning Commission provides guidelines here.
