Olney Coalition testimony regarding the Strategic Plan for Economic Development.  Olney Coalition supported the Planning Board's recommendation of a 1% job growth.  In the end, the Council voted for a 2% growth.  The balance of the jobs and housing ratio has a direct affect on the affordability of homes and congestion on the roads.

Olney Coalition testimony on the Rural Neighborhood Cluster (RNC) Zone.  Before the Upper Rock Creek Master Plan could be finalized, Councilmember Praisner requested that this zone be revisited.  Sandy Spring/Ashton is the first area to use the RNC zoning and the community feels what has been built does not match the intent of the zone.  The intent of this zone is to keep large contiguous areas of open space by clustering the housing into neighborhoods with a variety of housing types.

Olney Coalition testimony on the Moderately Priced Dwelling Units.  Olney Coalition supported many of the staff's recommendations in the comprehensive review of the MPDU program.

Olney Coalition testimony on accessory apartments.  Olney Coalition opposed permitting accessory apartments to be placed in a home without a public hearing.

Olney Coalition testimony restating its support for the 8% impervious cap in the Upper Rock Creek Master Plan area.

Olney Coalition testimony on the Stoney Spring development near Poolesville.  Olney Coalition opposed this development because it sets a precedent for subdividing and developing the Agricultural Reserve.  Half of the Olney Master Plan area is in the Agricultural Reserve.
