Clean Up time on Bowie Mill Property

A group of Olney Coalition Volunteers spent a few hours of their Saturday cleaning up the streambed on the 32 acre Bowie Mill Property. They collected 17 LARGE bags of trash. It’s amazing how many balls, cans, and styrofoam coffee cups were there. One interesting find was film for a movie titled “Are you Afraid of Spiders?”

Special thanks to Jay Feinberg, Paul Vale, Robin Weiner, Emily Weiner and her friend Rachel, Amanda Weiner, Mariann Miller, and Barbara Falcigno for taking time to keep the stream clean.

Letter from GOCA President Steve Smet to the Board of Education

"...The lack of public meetings on the transfer of the assets owned by the people (the taxpayers and voters) of this county has been corrupted and cannot be trusted to be fair without full disclosure and with enough time for the community to respond. As caretakers of the assets entrusted to you, it appears that you have failed in your care and accountability of the assets entrusted to you." Read the entire letter...
