Full Council Votes on Olney Master Plan Tuesday, March 15th.

The full council will have final discussions and vote on the Olney Master Plan on Tuesday, March 15th starting at 10 AM.  They will meet in the 7th floor hearing room of the County Council building at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville.  Click here to see the work packet they council will discuss.

Full Council Resumes Discussion on Olney Master Plan March 8th.

The full council will discuss the Olney Master Plan on Tuesday, March 8th in the 7th floor hearing room of the County Council building at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville.  The discussion will start at approximately 11:15 and break for a lunch recess at 12:15.  It will be continued in the afternoon at 2:15 and is scheduled until 3:30.  Since there is nothing on the agenda immediately following this discussion, it may run later.  Click here to see the full agenda for March 8th and click here to see the work packet on the Olney Master Plan.  The work packet includes the resolution which documents each change in the Planning Board Draft.

Development Options for the 32 acre property on Bowie Mill Rd.

Click here to learn about the different options that are being discussed for the 32 acre property (caution for those on dial up:  large file = 671 KB).  Given the options currently available, Olney Coalition supports the OBGC concept of a double gymnasium and workforce housing provided that the community concerns are adequately addressed.

OBGC Concept Plans for the 32 acre property on Bowie Mill Rd.

OBGC's concept plans for the 32 acre property on Bowie Mill Road will be available Friday, February 4th.  These plans represent preliminary ideas for building two gymnasiums and 70 workforce housing units and OBGC would like to receive feedback from the community.  Olney Coalition will be meeting on Monday, February 7th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Norbeck Grove Clubhouse to discuss the different development proposals for this property.  All are welcome to attend.
